Hello & Welcome To My New Writers Blog!,
This subject has been on my mind now for a few days now. Of course it needed to be my very “FIRST BLOG POST.” Since hearing all the “MEDIA ~ SPINS” about my favorite show, “Duck Dynasty,” and all the “Hoop-La” surrounding “DUCK COMMANDER ~ Phil Robertson,” The Big Cheese of the show, I feel I do have something to write, and say about the media crucifying this wonderful teacher of life, family man, and wonderful “Christian”….

So the powers at be have already taken the “Bible” out of our schools, taken all “Biblical” materials away, seems it’s a NO, NO for students, teachers, and faculty to even say they word, “GOD,” ~ “Lord,” or even “Bible” as they say it’s about separating “Church and State.”……”WHAT”?
First I’d like to start by telling GLAAD to just “BACK OFF!, (yes, that’s how mad I am)… Why don’t you read the “GQ” article to begin with! Because now, you have many News & Media outlets twisting “Phil Robertson’s” words and comments as they always do! I read the article, it’s just one mans opinion of what the “BIBLE” says about relations, fornication, and unions between gay men & women. Sorry, but the gospel was written with commandments, and “DOES HAVE THINGS TO SAY ABOUT” relationships between a Man & a Man & about a Woman & a Woman. IT’S not natural and it is a sin. BUT, we do not “JUDGE OTHERS,” as that is GOD’S Job. Those who choose this life style, and those who “Choose” to have same-sex life partners, then your sin, this ISSUE is between you and part of your relationship with God. Your maker and creator.

When Will This SLANDER END AGAINST *Phil Robertson*? **

See, proof THAT your website, (GLAAD) proudly promotes using the “MEDIA” to get your messages across to others. So if it’s OK for you, why not for “Duck Commander,” Phil Robertson? Do you feel you have more “Free Speech Rights” than Mr. Robertson? My feelings are, ALL Phil Robertson was doing was sharing his Beliefs, when asked about his feelings and thoughts about this topic,
AND by the way is his *Constitutional Free Speech Right* that affords him to share his feelings & convictions, AND should be without “Retribution”!
Please, don’t get me wrong, I have a nephew and many friends who are gay. I’m very proud of my nephew and I “SUPPORT” him in all he does for his voice to be heard on the “Civil Union Rights” issues for “Gay” Men & Women and all human beings. Fair should be Fair for everyone right? I think the media has blown the situation out of control! I think it’s sad, and I feel the media is the problem, not Phil, not A&E, not GLADD, not GQ’S article,” IT’S THE MEDIA”…..
All media outlets should be ashamed of themselves for making the divisions among all of you involved! Everyone has a right to be heard, to share their “Voices” & “Convictions,” no matter what the topic is….
We as “Christians” have convictions of right and wrong, as we follow what our creator blessed us with, a book of guidance on how to live a life aside from this “Sinful Society” that we live in. YES,…I did say sinful.
We are all born sinners. Why do you think GOD sent his only son, as a human man to earth to be sacrificed? It was to give all sinners, and all of humanity a 2nd chance. To give each and every one of us a chance to be forgiven of our sins when we don’t get “life” right the first time around!

The bible also teaches us that, we as “Believers” maybe be “Stoned, Persecuted, Ridiculed, made fun of and put down, and much more for believing in our god, and his son, Jesus Christ….

So there you go! IT IS important for me to say, these are only “My Thoughts & Opinions” as my “Freedom Of Speech,” affords ME to share and write my feeling on this topic. I think “A&E” should let “Commander Phil Robertson” come back to work. Let the “Robertson Family” continue on their journey in blessing many of us who choose to watch “DUCK DYNASTY,” as they bring us so much “Joy” as they share their family values and biblical insights.

Dear A&E Network,
I am writing to you regarding your network’s intolerant, discriminatory, and punitive treatment of Mr. Phil Robertson, star of A&E’s #1 hit show, Duck Dynasty.
Mr. Robertson’s comments in GQ Magazine are simply reflective of a Biblical view of sexuality, marriage, and family – a view that has stood the test of time for thousands of years and continues to be held by the majority of Americans and today’s world as a whole.
Many members of the LGBT community may not agree with this view, but the notion that a free-thinking American should be discriminated against simply for expressing a perspective that is in conflict with another is patently un-American and flies in the face of true tolerance and civility. A&E’s position, which in your own words is “championing” the gay and lesbian community — which I believe you have the freedom to do — excludes the views of Faith Driven Consumers and effectively censors a legitimate viewpoint held by the majority of Americans.
As a Faith Driven Consumer, I am signing this petition to demand that my views be treated with equality and respect in America’s rich rainbow of diversity.
I am asking your network to immediately reinstate Mr. Robertson to Duck Dynasty, and to formally apologize to him, his family, and the millions of viewers who tune in every week, stand by him, and share his worldview. While the LGBT community may be offended by his opposing viewpoint, your rash, discriminatory, and unfair treatment toward Mr. Robertson — a recognized symbol of the faith community — is a slap in the face to Faith Driven Consumers and everyday Americans alike.
There are 46 million Faith Driven Consumers in America today who spend 1.75 trillion dollars annually. Should you refuse to equally respect and welcome our legitimately held views, we will gladly stop watching this and all other A&E programming and turn to any reformulation of Duck Dynasty on another network – while simultaneously supporting brands that stand with the show and the Robertson family.

The problem is that even anyone talking about these values hurts the gay community, even if you don’t realize it. If the bible said that it was a sin to be black, or autistic, would it be acceptable to even talk about this? Probably not. Being gay is no different; it is not a choice, it’s how people are born. If you had a child who was gay and you tried to pass these ideals onto them, it would likely scar them deeply knowing that their parents don’t approve of how they are, and this happens all the time. This is why the whole idea of being gay being a “sin” has got to go. All due respect to your religion, but this lesson it teaches is hurtful and outdated, and the majority of people realize this don’t want their children viewing someone talking about it on television. It doesn’t matter if you say you aren’t judging, or if you have a gay nephew, you’re calling something wrong that people have no control over, and that’s just not fair.

I appreciate your thoughts and concerns, I really DO. I understand what your saying. And I really hope your not hurt or offended by MY “Thoughts”, it’s not my intention. I do feel we do need to have an open discussion about how YOU & I both feel about the Issues. Just as you say, Gay men and women were born this way, and that it’s not a “CHOICE”, I have to disagree. If you WERE born Gay, you as a person of sound mind in adulthood to “ACT” on those feelings. Just as I feel and choose to abide by the Bible’s Written words of and about homosexuality. Those “WORDS of my Religion have never or ever will be “OUTDATED” as they have been part of this World for thousands of years, and Millions live their “Lives” according to this “Written Words.”
PUT RELIGION aside, many people in “Recovery” from addiction follow the Gospel, the Bible as well, and MANY ARE NON-Religious. WAS I BORN TO BECOME A ADDICTED COMPULSIVE GAMBLER??? MAYBE, but it was my Poor “CHOICES” that lead me to become Addicted. That is what your saying right?? That I was born an “addicted gambler”?? But I do see what your points are. Will just have to Agree to Disagree on some points of this whole “Duck Dynasty” Mess.
However, again….your thoughts and feelings are & will be WELCOME here. How do we learn about others without a good “Conversation”??
