Margo Bond Collins, lives in Texas with her husband, their daughter, several spoiled cats, and a ridiculous turtle. She teaches college-level English courses online, though writing fiction is her first love. She enjoys reading urban fantasy and paranormal fiction of any genre and spends most of her free time daydreaming about vampires, ghosts, zombies, werewolves, and other monsters…

Fairy, Texas. A small town like any other.

Laney Harris didn’t want to live there. When her mother remarried and moved them to a town where a date meant hanging out at the Sonic, Laney figured that “boring” would have a whole new meaning. A new stepsister who despised her and a high school where she was the only topic of gossip were bad enough. But when she met the school counselor (and his terminal bad breath), she grew suspicious. Especially since he had wings that only she could see. And then there were Josh and Mason, two gorgeous glimmering-eyed classmates whose interest in her might not be for the reasons she hoped. Not to mention that dead guy she nearly tripped over in gym class.
She was right. Boring took on an entirely new dimension in Fairy, Texas.

MY REVIEW FOR MARGO’S BOOK, FAIRY, TEXAS…

Fairy, Texas is very well written! The storyline, and Laney especially I could truly relate to her. In real life many of us like Laney, we grow up and all face life challenges, even in High School! The story takes you on a magical ride! Many of us have had the experience of moving to some new place, and Laney finds more than she bargained for when not wanting to just “Hang Out” at the local Sonic! I enjoyed Margo’s funny sense of humor in her writings. Not to mention the “Mystical Fantasy” touch’s of her book and story keep you gripped to the book.
.
It actually had some ringing of one of my “FAV” movies, “Footloose”! Coming to a new sleepy town, having to make new High School friends, guys interested in Laney, But for what?, and more “Crazy” in Fairy than a Big City! This book was a delight to read. “Hats Off to Margo,” as I’ll be patiently waiting for her next book of Laney’s continued “Adventures in Fairy, Texas”! I rate & review her book as 5 Stars!! BRAVO!….

Editorial Review

Fairy, Texas is a sleeper that starts out fairly innocuously and then sweeps the reader off on a fabulous ride as Laney and her friends thwart the evil designs of the demons (or are they fairies?) who have singled out Laney as their Yatah. Fairy, Texas is also an inspired coming-of-age story as Laney navigates a new step-family, a new environment, and the attentions of more than one good-looking guy in school. I’m hoping for a sequel to Fairy, Texas, as I really hate the idea that I’ve seen the last of Laney, Josh, Mason and even Kayla. Fairy, Texas is a great read. ~Jack Magnus

Book baby love
Fun, fun, fun. This book was a good time. The dialogue was fantastic and funny and spot on. It was pure YA with a YA attitude that rocked. I couldn’t read this book fast enough and I am now going to pick up all I can by this author.

This review is from: Fairy, Texas (Kindle Edition) ~ Amazon.com
High school is hard enough, but for Laney, her high school days have changed drastically. She’s from metropolitan Atlanta, a modern city filled with everything she loves, friends, activities, her mom. Then her mom marries her old boyfriend from years back. Goodbye modern city. Hello, a small Texas town in the middle of nowhere that goes by the name of Fairy. And that’s not the only weirdness about this town. Will Laney figure out how to stop the craziness before it destroys her?
.
Margo Bond Collins entertained us with her sassy ghost from Waking Up Dead. She’s back with another tongue-in-cheek paranormal mystery, and this female doesn’t let anyone get her down for long. Right from the very first page, the reader feels a lot of empathy for Laney. Who wants to get stuck in a town so small, everyone know everyone else’s business – 10 seconds after it happens? As if that’s not bad enough, two hotties have their eye on Laney, and her nasty tempered stepsister likes one of those guys!
.
Collins constructs a story where the normal world and paranormal beings intersect in a struggle for survival. Laney is caught in the middle, the prize for both sides of this battle. Every word weighs in with strength. Each chapter brings new revelations, and Laney’s sassiness grows despite the trouble she’s finding. The conclusion leaves you sated and wondering if there’s a chance, just a tiny chance, that Ms. Collins will bring us a sequel to this tantalizing novel.
I highly recommend this novel for all lovers of paranormal mysteries…..
