Today we are in for a little something different. As many know I live life in recovery from addiction for over 8 years. It’s what my first book is about. It is my memoir and story of overcoming and triumph. Well my guest today is a beautiful poet and singer as well. She has her debut CD release, and it is so moving and her story set to poetry with music undertones. It is a listening experience” that will touch you deeply, especially if you are in recovery. And you’ll go on a deep journey of one woman’s life story if your not.

I know I tell you this all the time, but God seems to bring many people into my life at just the right moments, and he also sends me those who are ‘gifted and talented’ as my guest and  friend Sarah Beth Wheeler is! So I’m sharing her with all of you. Her CD for me is a new concept of sharing ones recovery and life journey. She has put together her life & recovery journey to honest, raw, and at times intense listening experience. So who is this beautiful woman, and may add a devoted Christian.

Each poem on this CD is an expression through my art that tells the true story of my life.   It is the story of a girl who grew up scared, lonely, abused and angry. It is also the story of a girl who met God. And it was through His power my “Ghetto” became a masterpiece.”

This CD is intense, deep, beautiful, and real. I hold nothing back. I did this project with a very deep prayer. That anyone, anywhere, who has ever tasted this type of pain, can know that they are not alone. That perhaps, my voice and words can pierce into that dark place and speak of the One who created US. So, where do I begin to share all that Sarah has accomplished! Here is just a little of her background and more about her.

The 11 tracks of poetry that I have written and vocally performed. Each poem is accompanied with the original musical underscore as inspired by Tom Arsenault.

This CD is a true story of a girl growing up in poverty, trauma, and child abuse. This CD gives a voice to that young girl. Also on this CD you will hear the voice of that same young girl who has been healed and transformed by the power of a very loving God. The purpose of this CD is to carry a message to those who have also experienced a similar walk to let them know they are not alone and that there is hope for a brighter future.

Sarah Beth has had 3 poems published various poetry chapbooks. What is a Chapbook you ask?

A chapbook is a small collection of poetry, generally no more than 40 pages, that often centers on a specific theme, such as exotic foods or wild animals or Justin Bieber. It’s typically saddle-stitched (like a pamphlet or magazine) and is a format well suited to smaller print-runs. Poets publish chapbooks instead of full-length books of poetry for a number of reasons, but perhaps the most common is that chapbooks are relatively inexpensive to produce. In fact, many poets take the DIY approach and print their chapbooks themselves. Here are Sarah’s three.

So in closing, I’d like to share my own Amazon CD Review I gave my dear friend Sarah! Listening to her CD now several times, she was very true about her poetry will, “take you to some places you may not want to go, but just flow spiritually with it.” And that was what It did.
